How would you like to tailor your health care?
What do you feel you need to reach your health goals? Is it a new and fresh approach to a chronic condition, focusing on the root cause (rather than symptoms)? Or are you in need of a health coach to help you establish your goals and keep you on track? We also offer functional medical tests to see how the body is performing (or not) in relation to optimum wellness.
Naturopathic Consultation
Naturopathy combines traditional philosophies and holistic practices with modern scientific research. Registered Naturopaths are primary healthcare practitioners who focus on natural and holistic treatment options to serve their patients. Naturopathy falls within traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) and Integrative Medicine (IM). Naturopathy is not an “alternative” model of healthcare, to help our clients achive optimal health we work alongside other practitioners, including GPs
Health Coaching
Health coaching is the use of evidence-based skilful conversation, clinical interventions and strategies to actively and safely engage client/patients in health behaviour change. Health coaches are qualified to safely guide clients and patients who may have chronic conditions or those at moderate to high risk for developing chronic conditions.
As a Health Coach, Stephen can help you:
- Find your drive and your reason for change.
- Provide a safe space to explore your health needs without judgement.
- Help you develop your well-being goals and hold you accountable.
- Be a motivating coach to guide you along your journey.
Functional Testing
Functional Medicine involves using specialised laboratory tests to identify the root causes of disease and reveal how the body is functioning. We can test things like biochemical processes, hormonal/gut flora imbalances, nutritional deficiencies and metabolic function. Functional Medicine tests can be invaluable when health problems have been unresolved for a long period of time. Most functional tests are done through private laboratories overseas as they are not yet available in New Zealand. These tests are not often used in the conventional medical system, so most doctors remain unfamiliar with them.
